I might analyze the movie Little Mermaid (1989). These are the archetypal figures, places that I will be discussing.
Ursula: sea witch / chaos King Triton: sea king / authority Sea creatures: symbol of life Land: mystery / the land of humans Ocean: Ariel's home -Yoselin Ventura(:
Chucky-the evil doll: the idea of chaos and indeterminate unity. Andy-Divine Child. Voodoo Ritual-Invasion of the death. Andy’s Home-Andy’s center. Charles Lee Ray-Celestial models.
I am analyzing the movie The Dilemma. This movie portrays a couple as the perfect couple or syzygy and then uses this same couple halfway into the movie to portray inderterminate unity by showing that this perfect couple has imperfect habits or behaviors. This movie also has a lot of chaos because of infidelity which is also a form of sexual excess. Another scene in the movie that uses indeterminate unity is when the wife's lover poses as the husbands bookie. An act of cosmigonic Act is in the end of the movie the two best friend have a fist fight while waiting to present to a prospective employer and they both end up making up and walking in to present as friends again. Archetypal figures will be Ben Wade who is the outlaw, his gang in a general sense, Dan Evans is the father and rancher, William & Marc Evans are Dans'sons, and the posse that helps Dan escort Wade to the station will be analyzed in a general way if need be.
The journey from Bisbee to Contention and the time spent waiting in the bridal suite.
It becomes a race to the train station between Wade’s gang, and Wade and Dan.
The whole journey the two men shared bits of their past and wade found it in his heart to do something nice for someone.
