Post for May 17

Hello All,

1. Give me the title of the film you will be analyzing.
2. List the archetypes/symbols/concepts you will be using in your analysis. Remember that at least one of these concepts must come from Eliade's Myth of the Eternal Return.

Take care, and have a good weekend.

  1. The film that I choose to write my essay about is the film titled The Sandlot. Some of the ideas I will use for my essay are: the symbolism of the center, which is represented by the sandlot. Also the sandlot is transformed to a sacred place, for the characters in the movie. I will look at the characters names like Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez and Hercules also known as “the beast.” The beast is the main character that causes chaos in the film. Also this movie has regeneration of time and space.
